Wind turbines do affect house prices, UK court hears

wind_uk Various windpower watch groups are circulating a UK news report that suggests wind farms adversely affect the value of a home. A homeowner in Lincolnshire, England asked for and was awarded tax relief because of a wind turbine located one km from her home.

Yourmaidstone, a local online publication in Kent County, said the ruling is seen by the UK property market as an “effective admission” that wind farms — often accused of spoiling views and creating annoying roaring noises — have a negative effect on house prices.
