I do not like commercial wind plants ANYWHERE in the NC mountains. Sorry....I know this must hurt your bottom line and it must make your POCKETS less green. It is proven...commercial wind power does not work. It is a scam. My mountains are not for sale. The 1983 Mountain Ridge protection act will stay strong, despite the professors from Appalachian State in Boone that try to take it down. Yes, I love the Nimby word....it shows that the opposition is really making the wind industry sweat. People may have legitimate concerns beyond your NIMBY assertion. I did live near a wind turbine, 350′ away, the most miserable 2 years of my life. Oddly, didn’t realize the true negative effects until it was removed.

Where there are protests he said people have legitimate concerns about visual impact, the planning application or environment. “Our results show that people generally support renewable energy, but that this support can be fragile, particularly for biomass and onshore wind energy...
