May, 2007 Shopping Center Business PUBLIC OPPOSITION IS CHANGING THE FACE OF REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT. Opposition to large shopping center development eased slightly in 2006, but Americans remain strongly opposed to real estate development projects in their hometown, according to The Saint Index. The Index is an annual survey conducted among 1,000 adults nationwide.
