A massive $5.5 billion (£3.6 billion) project to construct a super sewer in London and the prospect of the stench from raw sewage near schools has stirred Residents Against Thames Sewer (RATS) into opposition in the British capital’s Hammersmith and Fulham districts.

Residents say they aren’t Nimbies, and the Thames Water response, in a local newspaper, says peoples’ concerns amount to “scare-mongering”. Click here for details.
