Waste & Recycling News asked Jay Vincent, Saint Consulting’s business practice leader for the waste industry, to talk in a video about overcoming community opposition and generating positive support for waste and landfill projects.
John Campanelli, editor of Waste & Recycling News, met Jay at Wastecon in Washington, DC earlier this month, where Jay gave a presentation on Engaging the Public Through the Lense of the Advocacy Pyramid. In the five-minute video Jay discusses how communities and businesses can win approval of difficult projects – like landfills, transfer stations and MRFs – and offers some advice on how to stop playing defense and start playing offense to make these projects happen.
